TL;DR
- Bench press every 2 hours: up to +4 strength, free. Nothing else in the game builds a fighter faster.
- Cold case and lineup: police get a bounty, everyone else gets heat wiped and 6 hours of arrest immunity.
- Civilians: the restock rush pays double wage. Savers: the vault pays 1% of your bank balance.
- Cooldowns run per activity, not per city. Start everything that's ready, then go do something else.
- Every activity counts toward "play a city activity" contracts and earns 4 season points.
How activities work
- They live at the downtown services in every city. Open a service from the map or the GPS.
- Action games run in your browser, but the server caps your score by the time you actually played. Puzzles keep the answer on the server until you guess.
- Each has a cooldown from 2 hours to a day, shared across cities: playing chess in Marlow uses up chess in Havenbrook too.
- Starting an activity counts as a guest move.
Every activity
| Activity | Where | Every | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bench press | Gym | 2 h | +2 health a rep; +1 strength per 12 reps, up to +4 |
| Surgery | Hospital | 8 h | Full heal (half if sloppy), up to +25 energy |
| Getaway drive | Gas station | 4 h | $4 + $1 per level, per bag; +15 energy at 10+ bags |
| Restock rush | Grocery | 12 h | Civilians: up to 2× hourly wage. Others: a sandwich per 6 items |
| Shooting range | Pawn & Arms | 4 h | Score 15+: +15% attack for 2 hours |
| Cold case | Police HQ | 24 h | Police: $40 + $10 per level. Others: heat wiped, 6 h arrest immunity |
| Lineup | Police HQ | 12 h | Police: half a cold case. Others: same as the cold case |
| The vault | Bank | 24 h | Criminals: a take, +1 heat. Others: 1% of your bank ($15 to $1,000 per level) |
| Paperwork | City Hall | 24 h | 3 errors: −2 heat and $15 per level. 2 errors: −1 heat |
| Chess hustler | Liberty Park | 24 h | $25 + $5 per level and −1 heat; miss and pay $20 |
| Daily wheel | Golden Ace | 24 h | $5, $10, $25, $50 or $250 per level, supplies or full energy |
Bench press
Alternate ← and → (or tap the buttons) for 12 seconds. Every rep heals 2; every 12 reps is +1 strength, up to four. The server caps you at 7 reps a second, so 48 reps gets the full +4. Rhythm beats mashing.
Surgery
Trace the incision. Score 50+ for a full heal, less for half; energy comes on top. Slow and steady. It's a free full heal every 8 hours, worth $175 at level 5 in hospital fees.
Getaway drive
Dodge the cop cars, grab the bags, up to 45 in a run. Thirty in one go earns the Wheelman achievement. At level 10 a 30-bag run is $420.
Cold case and lineup
The cold case is a whodunit: cross-reference the clues until one suspect fits them all (more suspects at levels 8 and 20). The lineup is a memory test: study the face, then pick it out of six near-misses. Wrong answers cost nothing but the cooldown.
The vault
Crack a 4-digit code in 6 tries. After each guess, every digit says higher, lower or right. Split the range in half each time and you'll crack it in four. Criminals score more with tries to spare.
Paperwork and chess
Paperwork: spot the three altered characters between a permit and its copy. Chess: find mate in one from 80 verified puzzles. Both cool your heat, so criminals should never skip them.
What a full round is worth
- Getaway, 30 bags, twice ($9 a bag)
- $540
- Restock rush, twice (2× a $22.83 hourly wage)
- $91
- Paperwork stipend
- $75
- Chess
- $50
- Vault: 1% of $10,000 banked
- $100
- Wheel, on average
- ≈ $85
- Cash, before the bench press and surgery
- ≈ $941
That's more than the level 5 civilian salary of $548 a day, plus free strength, free healing and about 40 season points.
The daily streak
Claim once per UTC day from the gift button or the player menu. Day n pays $25 × n + $10 × your level. Every 7th day pays triple plus two first aid kits and two energy drinks; every 30th adds a Box of Havanas. Miss a day and you're back to day 1.
| Streak day | At level 1 | At level 5 | At level 10 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | $35 | $75 | $125 |
| Day 7 | $555 | $675 | $825 |
| Day 14 | $1,080 | $1,200 | $1,350 |
| Day 30 (+ Havanas) | $760 | $800 | $850 |
Seven in a row earns the Regular achievement; thirty, Lifer.
Contracts and seasons
Your contact (Rook, Commissioner Croft or Bad Penny) hands out three contracts a day. "Play a city activity" and "train at the gym" are common, and the bench press counts for both. Every activity also earns 4 season points. Details in heists and the long game.

Advice by side
Criminals
Cold case first: six hours where no cop can touch you. Paperwork and chess are free heat cuts. The vault's take is small; skip it if the heat would spoil a spree.
Police
The cold case and lineup are paychecks for you: three a day. The vault pays interest, so keep a balance.
Civilians
Restock rush twice a day at double wage, and the vault's 1% interest rewards a healthy bank balance.
Common mistakes
- Guessing the vault randomly. Halve the range each try.
- Mashing the bench press. A steady rhythm hits more reps.
- Paying the hospital. Surgery is a free full heal every 8 hours.
- Range at the end of a session. The +15% lasts 2 hours. Shoot, then fight.
Pro tips
- Chain the immunity. The cold case (24 h) and the lineup (12 h) both grant 6 hours of arrest immunity.
- Getaway for energy. Ten bags refills 15 energy: enough for most of a fight.
- Restock for supplies. Not a civilian? 42 items is 7 sandwiches, 105 health in your pocket.
